It's been so long since I've relaxed and had time to really enjoy art, so I thought it would be appropriate to return to dA as I look for new inspiration and ideas. Lately I've been on a digital art kick, and I'm taking some time away from my photography to work on my tablet skills. Hopefully I'll have my first piece done soon, as it's coming along quite well.



In a couple of weeks I'll be starting photojournalism and advertising photography classes. I'm super excited, but at the same time I'm not thrilled that it brings me very close to deciding whether to graduate or pursue a double major in graphic design. I think if I go with just the one degree I'll miss going to class and will be left to get a day job until I magic myself into the field, so I think I will probably go for the second degree so I can be more well-rounded. I'm very interested in design and computers, but in the end I could very easily treat it like a hobby and get my fix during free time, yet I think it's the better choice to keep going to school until I can't afford it anymore. I'm conflicted, and it's been keeping me from fully enjoying art.
For now, during my three week long summer, I'm just going to focus on my own projects and unwind a bit.
